Not far from the site of Wylfa nuclear power station, two clean energy projects are being envisaged. ‘Morlais’ and ‘Minesto’ projects hope to enstall wave powered turbines just off the north coast of Anglesey. They hope to produce hundreds of megawatts of renewable, low carbon, dependable and clean electricity. Both projcts have been supported by the Welsh Government and the European Community.
PAWB have been calling for decades for the development of clean energy and welcome ‘Morlais’ and ‘Minesto’. We are only sad that such positive developments have been delayed by the authorities being sidetracked for so long by the failed attempt at building a second nuclear power plant at Wylfa.
