Newyddion yr ymgyrch

Ble mae'r £80 miliwn a addawyd?

Ychydig o wythnosau ar ôl dod i rym, tynnodd llywodraeth glymblaid y Con-Dems benthyciad o £80 miliwm a addawyd gan Peter Mandleson i gwmni Sheffield Forgemasters yn ôl. Pwrpas y benthyciad oedd i'r cwmni fedru prynu offer i gynhyrchu llestri pwysedd ar gyfer adweithyddion niwclear newydd. Japan Steel Works yw'r unig cwmni yn y byd sy'n cynhyrchu'r llesri pwysedd ac yn dilyn y penderfyniad i dynnu'r benthyciad yn ôl, bydd dim un cwmni Prydeinig yn gallu cystadlu am y gwaith yma.

Campaign news

Where's the promised £80 million?

A few weeks after coming into power, the Con-Dem coalition withdrew an £80 million loan promised by Peter Mandleson to Sheffield Forgemasters Ltd. The purpose of the loan was to enable the company to buy equipment to produce pressure vessels for new nuclear reactors. Japan Steel Works are the only company in the world who produce the pressure vessels and following the decision to withdraw the loan, not a single UK company can compete for the work.
